About Me

Welcome to my site! This is a space to post some of my writing, my graduate school coursework, and resume.

I am Assistant Director of Research and Instruction at McKillop Library, Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. I’ve worked at Salve’s library for 12 years, and my colleagues, students, and faculty here are the reason I became interested in pursuing librarianship as a career. Previously I was a bit of a glutton on the career buffet. There were so many interesting fields and career options in New York City. I tasted a little bit of everything. I had internships at multiple non-profit and television production agencies, worked as a housing organizer in Central Harlem, a governmental affairs manager for a political consultant, a coder for an internet startup, and took classes in everything from ladies’ tailoring at Fashion Institute of Technology to Arabic at New York University.
